Ophelia’s Beard is a genre fluid songwriter that combines 'echoes of folk's rich heritage' with a modern twist, creating familiarity in songs you’ve never heard before. New wave folk with a hint of punk, Beard are proving banjo has a place in the modern scene.

 

Described as  'live performance at it's best'  Beard is finding their place in the UK folk scene by supporting artists like Rusty Shackle, Chloe Foy and Supalung whilst performing at cult festivals like Beardy Folk, Devauden, The Magpies, Boia, and headlining micro festival of the year - Between the Trees.

Selected for the PRS backed Forte Project and played on BBC Wales, their debut EP is set for release in 2027.
